OmniBoot v.1.0

With version 0.5, OmniBoot not only boots entirely from iso (CD, DVD), FAT32 and ext2/3 (USB, HDD) but also entirely via netboot (PXE). Every tool and every integrated OS now becomes available to even a diskless network-client.

Today most motherboards have a NIC onboard and most BIOS offer an option to boot from LAN.

But as of today this is only useful to very few users, since setting up a PXE-Server (the server providing boot-files and possibly root-fs after initial boot-up) involves some skills.

Now there is no more need to study and/or configure anything!

1. Boot the OmniBoot-PXE-server from the "Boot from Network"-submenu.
2. Connect another PC to the same LAN.
3. Boot that other PC from LAN.
4. Use OmniBoot as if you had a local boot-medium.

Details about updated components within OmniBoot can be found in tab "Changelog" on omniboot.at or by sorting there column "Status" in tab "Content".
