iStegano is a professional Steganography and Encryption program. It provides Encryption Strength from 8 bits, up to 16.384 bits. Its basic function is to hide and retrieve, Encrypted data, into Bitmap Images using a Steganography Method. Any type or number of files, may be Encrypted into an Image, as long as there is available space. The Size of an Encrypted Image, does not change, nor does its appearance. iStegano supports multiple files encryption and also has options for the Stegosystem. This way, every image you Encrypt, may be processed differently. You can select from a list of Security options for Encryption and Decryption. Here is a quick list with some of the security features: Key Image In order to Encrypt and Decrypt, you need a Key Image. As its name states, this is a regular bitmap image file, that is being used as a Key. Without the Key Image, or the proper image processing options, the Encrypted Image, cannot be Decrypted. Key File In order to Encrypt and Decrypt, you also need a Key File. This file contains Encryption Keys. Those Keys may vary in Encryption Strength, from 8 bits, up to 16.384 bits. There are some Key Files provided with the program, but there is also a Key File Generator available, within the program. Encryption (string) Key An optional but strong security feature. If one is used to Encrypt an Image, then it is required to Decrypt. It may be used as a Password and is case-sensitive. It increases the Encryption Strength, without sacrificing performance. Its length may vary from few characters, up to the maximum length of 16.384 characters. Stegosystem This is the core of the Steganography. These options change the way an image is processed. You may set the options for Security, Performance, or set for a more Balanced solution, of both.
