BJBRserv v.1.1a

BJBRserv was developed to be a command line based image resizer. It works on jpeg/jpg files, and allows them to be resized with anti-aliasing to avoid jaggies (if being shrunk), or bi-liear interpolation (when expanded).

In addition, a logo bitmap can be provided (for branding, overlays - or other purposes) which in turn can have a transparent colour key and alpha blending. The program is ideal when used with Windows web servers if you have a website that requires automated image resizing, say for a gallery.

Basic Command Line Options:
- source [source filename / path]

Specify the source file/path. Ideally, you should specify a path unless the image is in the same folder as the executable.

-dest [destination filename/path]

The destination filename.

-width [image width]
-height [image height]

These specify the dimensions that the output image will have. Note that you only need to specify both dimensions if you do not want to maintain the aspect ratio (dimensions) of the original image (add the -arn switch). You only need to specify the width if you maintain the aspect ratio based on the width size (no additional switch required), and the height if you wish to maintain aspect ratio using the original's height (use the -arh switch).

-arw
-arh
-arn

Determines how you wish to maintain the original's aspect ratio. As above, use -arn to use your own width and height, -arw if you're just specifying a fixed width, and -arh for height. If you do not add this switch, the default is -arw and you are expected to supply a width value.

-quality [image quality]

Controls the quality of the output jpeg image. This is in percent ranging from 1% (worst) to 100% (best). Obviously the better the quality the larger the file size. For most purposes it is best to omit this switch and accept the default value of 85% which is fine for photos.

NOTE:
The software is free, but contains a small at32.com translucent piece of text in the bottom right hand corner. for WindowsAll
