Smart Report Builder is an ASP.NET control that provides an extremely flexible reporting solution for Internet and Intranet applications with Microsoft SQL Server back-end. No programming required to create and run reports! Only a basic understanding of data model needed to create report templates. Template authors could select tables, views and columns, set their display order and aliases, as well as sort order and grouping with aggregate functions. Data filters allow describing different criteria for data extraction including relationships, design-time and run-time parameters. End-users only need to select one of available templates, input run-time parameter values, and finally generate the report in different formats - PDF , HTML , and CSV . Additional security is ensured by report-level permissions for different user groups and even individual users. Integration with ASP.NET applications is as easy as adding two tags to your server-side code. Style sheets could be used to keep the same look and feel as the main application. It is also possible to restrict access to specific databases.
